St. Nicholas Program for children with special needs
The May 14, 2017 DOOR program featured an interview with Natalie Kapeluck (Youth Ministry Specialist) and Tracy Galla (Camp Director and Special Education & Behavioral specialist) of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA in which they introduced an Orthodox summer camp program for children with disabilities and their families.
The program is called St. Nicholas Program (SNP) and is designed for parents and their child with disabilities to spend time together in an Orthodox Family Environment. The campers are introduced to camp life at All Saints Camp in Emlenton PA, and the parents are given the opportunity to meet fellow Orthodox parents who are tackling the same challenges in today’s world.
This year’s camp is scheduled for June 19-22, 2017 for youth with disabilities ages 9 -19 and parents/families of all ages!
